Dear Homeowners of Martin Meadows,
We hope this notice finds you well. We are writing today to discuss an important opportunity that could enhance our community by potentially adding County Water and Sewer infrastructure to our neighborhood.
The introduction of would not only provide a reliable and consistent water supply but also include essential sewer infrastructure and the installation of fire hydrants. These improvements can bring significant
benefits to our homes and community, including:
- Reliability and Quality:
County water is subject to stringent safety standards, ensuring a consistent and high-quality supply that is regularly tested, unlike private well water, which can be subject to contamination. - Cost Savings:
While there may be initial costs associated with the transition, city water and sewer systems can ultimately lead to savings on maintenance and repairs that often arise with well systems and septic tanks. - Safety and Security:
The addition of fire hydrants would enhance our neighborhood’s safety, potentially lowering insurance rates and providing peace of mind knowing that emergency services have immediate access to water in case of fire.
To gauge interest within our community, we have conducted an email survey throughout the last 3 weeks of March 2026. Results will be shared in April.
It is important to note that this survey is not a vote for the installation of water and sewer; rather, it is a measure to determine if we have at least 50% interest from the community to consider inviting representatives from Martin County for a Town Hall meeting. During this meeting, they will explain the entire process, answer any questions, and outline the benefits in detail.
Only after this Town Hall meeting would there be a vote conducted through the Supervisor of Elections to determine if the majority of our neighborhood supports moving forward with the proposal for city water and sewer services.
We encourage you to participate in this process. Your voice matters, and your feedback will help shape the future of our community. If you missed out on the emailed survey, please use the link below to voice your opinion.
Thank you for your consideration and for being a valued member of our community.
